Woman stabbed to death by ex-hubby

A 30-year-old woman was stabbed to death by her ex-husband in broad daylight when she was scaling the ladders of a shop where she works as saleswoman on Thursday. She was stabbed five times in her stomach, chest and face that resulted in her death.She was identified as Uzma Khan, 39, wife of Shariq Khan, a resident of Arif Nagar in Gautam Nagar area. The woman was declared brought dead by doctors of Hamidia Hospital. SHO Mangalwara Sandeep Pawar said the woman had separated from her husband and was living with her children in Arif Nagar. She was working in a shop at Itwara Square and was climbing the ladders when the accused Shariq Khan stabbed her and fled the spot.
 
The onlookers rushed her to Hamidia Hospital where the cops were informed. SHO said that the woman was a resident of Arif Nagar in Bhopal but was married to Shariq Khan in Sehore around 8 years ago. Khan works as a labourer in a private firm and he separated from the woman few years ago after he gave her triple talaq. The woman is survived with two children, he said.
 
Though the area is highly dense, no one told the cops about what happened and that everyone refused to see anything and said they only saw her blood stained body. SHO Pawar said that the area was seized and search for the absconding accused was on, as he was said to be the prime suspect. He said the couple had a soured relation. Based on statement of the family members, the former husband of the woman is made the accused in the case and a murder case has been registered against him. Notably, the woman before her death had lodged several complaints with Gautam Nagar as well as Bazaria police regarding threat to her life from her husband, but police didn’t respond to her complaints.
