MSME-DI to set up 100 stalls in Agrovision

The Ministry of MSME, Government of India will be playing a vital role in the 11th edition of Agrovision Exhibition to be held here in the city from November 22 to 25. The exhibition that will be held at Reshimbagh Ground, Nagpur, will on latest technologies and products useful for the farmers. Keeping this in mind the theme Agrovision has been chosen as ‘Smart Technologies for Sustainable Development.’ The new initiatives in the Agrovision include MSME Pavilion in which around 100 stalls of UAM registered MSMEs will be installed.
These will be agro-based and agriculture implements manufacturers from all over India. A separate theme pavilion for MSME Ministry will also be there for MSMEs in which MSME will showcase their products related to agriculture. Also the MSME units that are participating in the MSME pavilion will be given subsidy by Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India. There will be sessions on various schemes of MSME Ministry by MSME-DI, KVIC, NSIC, MGIRI etc.
The existing and prospective entrepreneurs will be made aware about the various schemes of MSME and will be given guidance on how to start their own enterprise. Presentations will be given on innovations on various agricultural implements and machinery by various institutions and technology centres will also be given during the four-day exhibition. Apart from this, various seminars, conferences will be also organised by MSME-DI for promotion various schemes like IPR, ZED, Domestic trade fair, Public procurement Policy, CLCSS, Cluster Development scheme, Business Incubation, Industry-Institute Network etc. There will be help desk of all ministerial offices in the pavilion.
To promote MSMEs, prospective entrepreneurs will be guided to set up their own ventures Recently a meeting was held with Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Nitin Gadkari, in which Director, MSME-DI Nagpur - P M Parlewar briefed the minister about the initiative taken by MSME-DI to play a prominent role in the expo. The objective of the expo is to create a prosperous agrarian society where farmers are well informed about the latest practices and agriculture becomes a remunerative and attractive profession.
