MEMBERS of Entrepreneurs’ Organisation (EO) Nagpur visited the Jindal Steel Private Limited recently to get a peep into the functioning of the factory. The visit to JSPL’s Angul, Odisha plant was a learning activity organised by EO Nagpur for its members powered by IIFL to experience the functioning of the massive power plant and its processes.

The delegation of EO Nagpur members was hosted by Naveen Jindal himself who showed them around and made sure they experience the Jindal way of work. Naveen Jindal is a former MP of Kurukshetra, Haryana, Chairman of JSPL and Chancellor of O P Jindal Global University. The delegation was flown to Odisha in a chartered plane and received by Naveen Jindal himself. The day began with safety briefing for all members to adhere to while on premises.

This was followed by a step by step visit to the blast furnace, BOF, Caster, Barmill and Platemill before the team broke for lunch. Post lunch, the members visited the CGP, the DRI Top and the power-plant, informs a press release issued here. The day-long visit ended with tea and snack at the power-plant and a candid interaction with Naveen Jindal about the Jindal empire and its future. All the participating members thoroughly enjoyed the visit and returned with new learning and experiences.

Those members who are into metal and power works got a great amount of insight from the visit. Not only was it a great learning activity, it also brought about a lot of bonding within the chapter.
