50% off in ticket price for ‘The Hitavada’ Twinkle Club members and their parents Nagpurians are all set to witness a show of epic proportions on Sunday. The live show of Indian epic ‘Mahabharat’ will be staged at 4 pm at Mankapur Indoor Stadium. Around 30 years ago, when B R Chopra had come up with the television serial ‘Mahabharat’, streets used to be empty every Sunday from 9 am to 10 am. It was an immensely popular show then. With a powerful tale, cast and characterisation was appreciated a lot. Advancements in technology made the storytelling attractive. A whole generation of boys and girls and their parents had the best family times. The same tale will be retold in live stage show in Nagpur city on Sunday. The ‘Mahabharata’ show is written and directed by Puneet Issar.

It is a 4D live show -- there will be an LED screen as a backdrop that will provide depth to the scenes; performers will be live on stage; light and show effects will add to the feel; and some characters will emerge from amidst the audience making it feel like one is sitting in the capital city of Hastinapur. Puneet Issar, who had played the role of Duryodhan in B R Chopra’s television serial, Gufi Paintal as Shakuni Mama, Siddhant Issar (Puneet Issar’s son) as young Duryodhan, Meghana Malik as Dharti Maa, and Yoshodhan Rana as Krishna, and others will present the powerful on-stage performances.

‘Mahabharat’ is a must-watch for the pre-millennial generation and a not-to-miss show for the millenial kids. It brings a new perception of the same story. It is from the perspective of Duryodhana and Karna. It explains how upbringing and environment has an indelible impact on the way children’s future is shaped. Family values, concepts of right and wrong, the learnings of karma as told by Krishna, make for a terrific message in the most attention-holding, entertaining way, states a press release. A huge rush for passes is there at the ticket-selling points including Panchavati Commercial Complex, near ‘The Hitavada’ and at Mankapur Stadium. Tickets are also available on BookMyShow. For ‘The Hitavada’ Twinkle Club members and their parents, the organisers have offered 50% off in ticket price.
