Bank of India Employees Unions across India are on the path of agitation against the partisan mindset of the management of the bank. The employees alleged that the bank is too generous to one section of employee and shows its biasness towards the other. “The concept of relativity is thrown to wind; it’s an abuse of discretion by the top management of the bank,” said the agitating employees. The issue of lopsided perks and perquisites, wasteful expenditure, improvement on governance, urgent recruitment and the unethical practices in the bank have prompted the union to choose the path of agitation as other ways of pursuing the management have not yielded any result. Under the leadership of Suresh Bobhate and S Rewatkar more than 400 employees stage demonstration before Bank of India, Zonal Office, Nagpur on Thursday. Suresh Bobhate put before the crowd the statistical data of the perks and perquisites and exposed the management of its partisan mindset.
 
He spoke at length on the alleged unethical practices adopted in Bank of India especially in employing casual labors by passing the legal / technical formalities. “Thus there is exploitation of youth beside possibility of corruption in the bank,” he said. The agitation is going to culminate into strike action, initially for 1-day on December 13, 2019 and two-day strike in January and also an indefinite strike if the issues are not resolved and if there is no improvement in an unethical practices adopted in Bank of India. Rewatkar also in his opening speech narrated how the bank is putting itself to huge risk by involving itself into indirect corruption. Members who took pains in making the demonstration a success where the comrades Sunil Belkhode, Ashok Shende, Narayan Umredkar, Dilip Choudhari, Harsh Agrawal, Vrishali Shendre, Pranjali Chitriv, Lata Thakur, Puja Rangari, Yugal Selokar, Yogesh Samundra, Mohd Imtiyaz, Jayashree Dhage, Rupali Pal, Pallavi Varambhe, Trupti Tarekar, Shrikrushna Chendke, Manoj Belsare and others in large numbers.
