On December 5, a tiger was found dead at Kanha Tiger Reserve. Autopsy suspected that the tiger was died of electrocution. Forest officials were put on toes after week-long old carcass was found in buffer zone of Kanha. The incident happened in Mangli beta of Motinala buffer zone of the reserve that raised hackles of wildlife and experts. Autopsy suggested that the animal was electrocuted when it came in contact with live electric wire set up by the poachers. Tiger saves self? A day before, a young tiger was trapped by poachers in Bhanpur beat of Bhopal Forest Circle. However, the tiger broke the trap and ran away towards Sehore jungle. Forest officials were informed about the incident after a few hours and they immediately reached the spot but they did not find anything as tiger had already moved inside the jungle. Sources said that poachers plotted the trap for deer and other wildlife in which tiger was trapped. As the net was weak, the tiger easily broke the net and set himself free. However, forest official denied confirming the news as there were no proof of such incident.
