The Deputy Chief D Mission of Indian team for South Asian Games 2019, Digvijay Singh accorded rousing welcome at Dumna Airport for adding feathers of glory in the name of city and country by attaining remarkable success in the South Asian Games held at Nepal from December 1 to December 12. It may be mentioned that for the 13th South Asian Games a 659 members Indian team have participated and Digvijay Singh was Deputy Chief D Mission. Under the leadership of Digvijay Singh, Executive member of the Indian Olympics Association and Secretary, Madhya Pradesh Olympics Association the Indian team scoured 174 Gold Medals, 94 Silver and 45 Bronze Medals and earned total 312 medals which is record break of 308 medals won by Indian team in the 12th South Asian Games.
 
It may be mentioned that Mr. Singh was also Deputy Chief D Mission of Indian team for the 12th South Asian Games and the team had registered record achievement of winning 308 medals. Digvijay Singh sharing his experiences said that the team has done exceptionally well in the tournament and players had given record-breaking performance nearly in every events and won medals for the country. He said that this year the challenge to maintain the dominance in the tournament stand as a challenge as Archery and Karate teams were not participating in this tournament, but players with their outstanding performances have break previous record of 308 medals.
 
He added that on return of Indian team the Union Minister, Kiran Rijju have declared a cash reward for the players. Eminent players and sports officials, representatives of different sports associations reached Dumna Airport and accorded rousing welcome to Digvijay Singh includes Sanjay Yadav, Virendra Singh Thakur, Jagat Bahadur Singh, Prashant Mishra, Yogendra Dubey, Vinod Poddar, Dinesh Thakur, Lok Bahadur, Nitin Dhimole, Manoj Gupta, Sarika Gupta, Ratan Gambhir, Nand Kumar Yadav, Ajay Tiwari, Deep, Vikas Dubey, Shekhar Awasthi, Ankit Babele, Rakesh Choubey and others.
