Sandip Joshi, Mayor, received 462 grievances of people during the grievances redressal camp held in his chamber in Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) on Thursday. On receiving the complaints/grievances from the people, Mayor discussed the matter with officials concerned and tried to dispose of most of them. During the camp, which was organised as per the idea of Joshi, people raised various issues that ranged from encroachments, drainage line, stray dogs, lack of proper sanitation, non-functioning of street-lights etc. He took zone-wise review of the grievances.
 
In some cases, he assured to visit the locations mentioned in the complaints. Also, he assured to hold a meeting with officials concerned and resolve the matters. In one case, an officer reportedly furnished misleading information about a developmental work in Ashi Nagar Zone. Expressing strong displeasure, Joshi ordered action against the officer. In some other zones also similar things came to fore. Joshi asked the senior officers to ensure that grievances of people were redressed in time. Else, he warned, action may be initiated against the officials concerned.
 
For the said camp, complaints/grievances were invited from the people till December 7. Token numbers were issued to complainants, and Mayor heard their complaints zone-wise and token number wise on Thursday. The chairpersons of various zone committees, corporators concerned, Assistant Commissioners, Executive Engineers, Deputy Engineers were present in the camp. Manisha Kothe, Deputy Mayor; Sandeep Jadhav, Ruling Party Leader; Narendra Borkar, Vaishali Narnaware, Vijay Zalke, Dharmapal Meshram, Prakash Bhoyar, Amar Bagde, Lata Kadgaye, Samita Chakole, Vandana Yangatwar, Gargi Chopra, Sanjay Bangale, Bhagwan Mendhe, Purushottam Hazare, Manoj Sangole, Mohd Jamal, Taufique Ibrahim, Shweta Banerjee, Manoj Ganvir, Girish Wasnik, A S Mankar, Amol Chaurpagar, Raju Bhivgade, Prakash Warade, Kiran Bagde, Sneha Karpe, Ashok Patil, Subhash Jaidev, Ganesh Rathod, Harish Raut and others were present in the camp.
