The newly added women entrepreneurs track of the 6th Annual Global Nagpur Summit held here at Chitnavis Centre on Saturday witnessed highly motivating experience sharing sessions by women panelists and the keynote speakers and others. While the ladies were narrating their individual stories, the strong will power and the hunger to achieve more in their respective personalities were reflecting prominently.

 

In her key note address, Manjeet Lamba Hirani, Senior Commander and a trainer with Air India, highlighted how she overcome challenges in her life. “When my mother had asked me to get married to a pilot and settle down in life, I refused the proposal and told her that I do not want to marry a pilot but want to be the one. I worked hard and struggled to achieve my dream,” she said adding that one should be a constant seeker in life. She said that one can expand further in life as it is a continuos process. She’s the author of the international bestseller How to Be Human – Life lessons from Buddy Hirani published by Penguin India. She is wife of Rajkumar Hirani, the well-known film director.

 

 

 

This was followed by a power-packed panel discussion on ‘Shattering the Glass Ceiling’ where Anu Meen, Founder, Agrowave; Shruti Sharma, Founder, Baidyanath Life Sciences and Kavya Authentic Ayurveda; Maitreyi Jichkar, Founder of Dr Shrikant Jichkar Foundation’s Zero Gravity Volunteer Network; and Anupam Sanghi, Managing Partner, Anupam Sanghi and Associates; highlighted their respective journeys. The session was moderated by Khurshid Dalal, Creative Writer, Media & Advertising.

 

The women entrepreneurs track also witnessed success stories of Priyam Daga of Connecting Wives and Kanika Dewani of Premier Lifestyles that inspired the participants. Later on eminent medical professional Dr Anuradha Ridhorkar delivered a talk on Health Challenges Faced by Women Entrepreneurs. The icing on the day’s cake was be the summing up of the entire days proceedings by Sukhda Chowdhary.
