Amit Shah, Union Home Minister, and Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister, will be in the city on January 2, 2020. Rajnath Singh will dedicate to people the newly constructed flyover passing through Sadar area. Amit Shah will dedicate to the nation the new campus of National Fire Service College (NFSC).
 
The newly constructed flyover passing through Sadar will link West, North, and Central Nagpur areas. The 3.8 kms long flyover starts from Samvidhan Square and goes up to old Katol Naka, Mankapur. Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, had taken the initiative for construction of the flyover. According to officials, the flyover construction has been completed within the set deadline. The said flyover will ease traffic congestion, and also facilitate smoother movement of people coming to city from Katol and Saoner.
 
Amit Shah, Union Home Minister, will dedicate to the nation the new campus of NFSC.
The programme will be held at 3 pm on January 2 at NFSC campus in Rajnagar area. Nityanand Rai, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs; and Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways and MSMEs, also will grace the occasion. Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister, will dedicate to the nation Sadar flyover. Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways; Devendra Fadnavis, Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Assembly; Dr Nitin Raut, Maharashtra Minister for Social Justice; Dr Vikas Mahatme, Rajya Sabha Member; Vikas Thakre, Vikas Kumbhare, Krishna Khopde, Mohan Mate, all of them MLAs, will be the guests on this occasion.
Ahead of the visit of Defence Minister, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) office-bearers took a round of the Sadar flyover and took stock of preparations for the programme on January 2. Sandip Joshi, Mayor; Manisha Kothe, Deputy Mayor; Pradeep Pohane, Chairman of NMC Standing Committee; Sandeep Jadhav, Ruling Party Leader; Mahendra Dhanvijay, Chairman of Tax Assessment and Tax Collection Committee; Abhay Gotekar, Chairman of Civil and Projects Committee; took stock of the preparations. The corporators Pragati Patil, Sunil Agrawal, Rajendra Sonkusare, Sunil Hiranwar also accompanied Mayor during the review.
