DGMS holds workshop

A ONE day workshop on the theme of ‘Workshop on Scientific Study and Monitoring of Slope Stability in Opencast Mine - A Way Forward’ was successfully organised by Western Zone of Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS) on December 6 at Western Zone, Nagpur. The inaugural function was graced by R Subramanian, Director General of Mines Safety as the President of the function. R R Mishra, CMD, Western Coalfields Limited as chief guest, M P Choudhari, CMD, MOIL, C R Kumar, Dy Director General, Northern Zone, Ghaziabad graced the occasion. On the occasion, WCL DT (O) Manoj Kumar and DT (P&P) Ajit Kumar Choudhary were promentely present. During the session, senior officials of DGMS, representatives of coal and non-coal mining companies from all over India were present. Senior Scientists from research institutes like CIMFR educational institutes like IIT, Kharagpur, VNIT, Nagpur etc., were also present during the occasion.
