Cracking the whip against anti social elements, cops from Gohalpur, acting on a tip-off, apprehended one goon standing at Beoharbag road in front of Kawar Ali Kawadi shop along with a motor bike in possession with firearm. The informer told police that the miscreant with hostile intention was likely to indulge in serious criminal activity.

Giving details, Gohalpur police informed that, on 9.3.2019 late night, one informer informed about a miscreant standing at Beoharbag road in front of Kawar Ali Kawadi shop along with a motorbike in possession with firearm. On been informed, team was constituted, which reached the said location. Having seen the approaching police, the miscreant attempted to move out from the spot, starting his motor bike numbered MP 20 SP 9855. Vigilant cops intercepted his path and summarily apprehended him. The goon revealed his identity as Mohammed Ashraf Munna Ansari (24), resident of Chaar Khambha, Madartekri, Hanumantal.

During search, cops found one country-made revolver, one sharp edged weapon and two live country made bomb kept inside the dickey of the motorbike. With firearm, sharp-edged weapon and country made bomb recovered, cops brought the accused to Gohalpur police station. A case under Section 5 of Explosive Act and 25,27 of Arms Act has been framed against the accused, who is now in police net. The accused is being subjected to interrogation to reveal the source of procurement of weapons seized by the police.
