BMCCommissioner Vijaya Dutta inspected Adampur Chavni Solid Waste Management Centre and other waste transfer stations of city on Thursday. During inspection, he acquainted himself with the functioning of centre’s and told that Adampur Chavni Waste Management centre would become hi- tech. He inspected Arif Nagar waste transfer station, Danapani Waste Transfer Station, TT Nagar Waste Transfer Station etc. He also instructed to shortly start Biomethanisation plants installed at waste transfer stations.
The compost plant situated near 12 Daftar of TT Nagar is India’s first portable biomethanisation plant. During visit to Adampur centre, he told officials for proper monitoring and instructed to install CCTV cameras. He also took information that how much waste reaches everyday at Adampur waste management centre. On this occasion, he was accompanied by Additional Commissioner Mayank Verma, Deputy Commissioner Harshit Tiwari, City Engineer O P Bhardwaj, Assistant Commissioner Ishan Dhakad etc.
