BJP Lok Sabha candidate for Bhopal, Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur is remaining in news due to one reason or the other. On Friday, she told that as she is a Sadhvi and hence she did not have money to contest election against Congress candidate Digvijay Singh.
She appealed people to donate money to her so that she can meet her election expenditures. People also came forward and donated money into the scarf she spread before them. This thing happened when Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur went to do canvassing in Huzur Assembly area of state capital. She sought alms in the name of ‘Jan Sahyog Note’.
During canvassing in Huzur, she said that seers do not have any love with any worldly thing. They live on begging. “Today, I have come to take three things from you. One vote of you would help in realising the dream of PM Narendra Modi to make India a world leader. Secondly, the company of you will help in strengthening development of area and third which is most important is Jan Sahyog Note,” she said.
Clarifying her stand of seeking Jan Sahyog Note (currency), she told that she is contesting election against Digvijay Singh who has remained CM for ten years and has no dearth of money. However, she is a Sadhvi and does not have money. “With your co-operation, I will get succour in meeting the election expenditures,” she stated.
After this, Sadhvi Pragya Singh spread the scarf to beg money and people willing donated money to her. During her campaigning, she narrated the ordeal she passed through behind bars and prayed that no other lady should pass hell like experience which she had undergone.
Reacting on Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur attempt to seek note to contest election, Congress Media Cell Chairperson Shobha Ojha told that Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur is doing tantrums only to grab the attention. As far as her claim that she is not having money is concerned then she is not contesting election on her own rather she is a candidate of BJP which remained in power for 15 long years. Hence BJP is not having dearth of money to support her election expenditure.
