Star Bharat’s popular show ‘Pyaar Ke Papad’ fame Omkar Gupta essayed by television actor Aashay Mishra believes “An actor’s career growth depends how he polishes his talent and works on it.” During his visit to the City of Lakes Bhopal on Wednesday, actor Aashay Mishra shared many nuances of acting and experience in the debut show. The actor was seen promoting the current track for his show, which revolves around the drift between Omkar and Shivika (Swarda Thigale) and how Omkar is determined to win back Shivika’s love.
While talking to ‘The Hitavada’, he shared about his show at present which revolves around the story of sasur - damaad’s fragrant nok – jhok and unexpected twists and turns in the storyline. I determined to win his khadus sasur’s heart and thereby, get his daughter Shivika’s hand for marriage will witness some major twists ahead. I play the character of ‘Omkar Gupta’, who is a well-settled banker and really loves this girl Shivika. Initially, Omkar was seen trying to please the girl’s (Shivika’s) father in order to win over his daughter’s hand in marriage, but now, due to an unfortunate confusion/incident, a lot more changes happen in his life. Now, Omkar has to clear the confusion between him and Shivika in order to win back her love.” Speaking on career growth of an actor in detail, he orated “There are two types of actors - one who accept all work what comes their way while another, who have their choice of work. But an actor can grab progress through hard work and smart work. He must stand to the expectations of the director (Director Jo Chaah Raha Hai Wo Aaana Bahaut Zaroori Hai). My Director also says an actor should be smart enough to understand well.”
Sharing one of the experiences of shooting set, Aashay said “I have so many memorable incidents and experiences, but one was really touching, which included an emotional scene. It was a scene of separation in house during which I had to cry along with my brothers. The attachment and free bonding with my co-actors made it so real that tears came naturally and we cried for two minutes even after the shot was done.” “Theatre has helped me a lot. I have been doing it since childhood. It has taught me so much of confidence that I have gained today.
Theatre is about light, action, sound and includes overall performance. As far as popularity is concerned among different theatres, Marathi theatre is earning more fame than Hindi or English theatre today.” “As an actor I want to work and improve on each part of me. Opposite to my personality, the biggest challenge for me would be playing a strong and hulk kind of role. Though, I desire to essay a negative character like actor Shahrukh Khan in movie “Darr” or else like Tahir Raj Bhasin in movie “Mardaani”. It is more like a hero than villain so once I want to try it on screen.”
