Heavy rainfall warning at isolated places in State

People woke up to a drenched morning in Bhopal on Saturday. Light to moderate showers lashed the city in morning. Rains also battered many other parts of State. Weather Department said in its forecast that heavy rains are likely to hit many places in State.
 
 
Heavy rains are likely in some places of Sheopurkalan, Bhind, Morena, Datiam, Shivpuri, Guna, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Neemuch, Dewas, Dhar, Indore, Khandwa, Badwani, Burhanpur, Khargone, Chhindwara, Balaghat, Rajgarh, Hoshangabad, Harda, Seoni districts. Rainfall and light showers are likely in maximum places of Datia, Guna, Gwalior, Shivrpuri, Ashok Nagar, Sheopurkalan, Bhind, Morena, Bhopal, Raisen, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Sehore, Ujjain, Neemuch, Ratlam, Shajapur, Dewas, Mandsaur, Agar, Indore, Hoshangabad, Betul, Khargone, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Badwani, Burhanpur, Hoshangabad, Betul, Harda, Sagar, Panna, Tikamgarh, Damoh, Chhattarpur, Rewa, Satna, Sidhi, Singrauli, Umaria, Anuppur, Shahdol, Dindori, Chhindwara, Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat, Narsinghpur, Seoni and Katni districts respectively.
 
 
In last twenty four hours, rains occurred in many places of State. Sonkutch recorded rainfall of (11 cm), Mandsaur (10 cm), Kaknar (9 cm), Manasa, Mahidpur, Hoshangabad, Burhanpur, Nepanagar (7 cm each), Suwasara, Biora, Neemuch, Sheopurkalan (6 cm each), Kannod, Sehore, Rewa, Tonkkhurd, Kareli, Amarkantak (5 cm each) respectively. As rainfall activities have gained momentum, humidity has subsided across the State. Sky is replete with plumes of moving black clouds. So far, there is no flood like situation in any part of state. People are praying for good chunk of rainfall as before revival of monsoon activities, state witnessed prolonged dry spell. The water level of dams remains at lowest ebb.
 
 
The Saturday’s rainfall figures includes Raisen (43 mm), Tikamgarh (28 mm), Hoshangabad (15 mm), Ujjain (19 mm), Bhopal (12.6 mm), Sagar (2 mm), Guna (4 mm) etc. Weather Department said that as of now, three systems are active and they are likely to give good rains particularly in western Madhya Pradesh. A low pressure area is over North Odisha and adjoining Jharkhand. A trough line is passing through Gwalior, Jaipur etc. A circulation is over East Rajasthan and North West Madhya Pradesh.
