Business Bureau : The ongoing tough phase for the for auto industry may soon be over as dealers of passenger cars are expecting increased footfall during the upcoming festive season. The dealers are expecting to register hike in sales during the starting right from Ganesh Chaturthi to Diwali. Buying new products is considered auspicious during this season. Aryodaya Honda, the sole dealership of Honda cars in Nagpur, is also eyeing significant rise in sales. “We are very optimistic about the festive season. We have already started receiving good number of inquiries and hence we are leaving no stone upturned to grab the opportunity,” said Director of Aryodaya Honda - Himanshu Yashpal Arya on Tuesday while talking to The Hitavada.
Arya further said that besides the festive season, recent steps initiated by the Government will also help the sector in a big way. “Steps like accelerated depreciation of 15 per cent (making it a total of 30 per cent) for vehicles acquired till March 2020 and deferment of proposed increase in registration fees for new vehicles to June 2020 are expected to play big role. We think this these factors will certainly attract large number of buyers. Apart from this, clarity on BS-VI emission standards will also boost the confidence of the buyers,” he said. Apart from this there are other scheme designed for the festive season. The automobile industry across the globe is facing major headwinds.
