About 100 civic schools to be digitised

In an ambitious plan, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) will digitise about 100 civic schools in the first phase. Under this, the schools will have at least one classroom, which will be digitised. This was revealed in a meeting, recently. Chairperson of the Education Committee of NMC Prof Dilip Dive had convened the meeting to review progress made by NMC schools.
 
He directed the authorities concerned to prepare a list of surplus teachers in civic schools, which would be submitted to the government for directions. He stated that the heads of the schools should be alert in making arrangements of basic facilities in the schools. This include painting of school, repairs and constructing of building and toilets, drinking water and other facilities. The issues will be discussed with Municipal Commissioner for required decision and action.
 
Following ASER (Annual Status of Education Report) survey show cause notices will be served to teachers where results are below 60%. Dive also instructed that the School Inspectors should submit weekly report regularly top the Education officer.
 
Information about efforts taken for improving enrolment of students, uniforms and books disbursement should also be submitted. Dive stated that inspection of kitchen providing nutritious diet will be carried out with the officers of Food and Drug Admiinistration.
