Proposal to bring Bhedaghat on world tourism map passed

Giving pace to development of Jabalpur city, various important decisions have been taken in District Planning Committee (DPC) meeting, on Friday. The members have taken unanimous decision on proposal to develop Bhedaghat for recognition of World Heritage Site for this beautiful sight. The development would connect Jabalpur in the map of world tourism. Besides this, like Vrindavan Garden in Mathura, on the plan of Narmada Valley Development Authority (NVDA), a garden with financial support of Union Government would be developed costing to Rs 300 crore in Jabalpur.
 
 
The proposal has been approved in DPC and forwarded to State Government for further approval, said Priyavrat Singh, District Minister In Charge of Jabalpur and Power Minister, Government of Madhya Pradesh in a press briefing session held at Collectorate after the DPC meet, on Friday. Cabinet Minister, Lakhan Ghanghoria accompanied him during the meeting. Minister In Charge, Singh said, important decision to shift pig rearing units and farms from city as a preventive measure to control spread of contagious diseases and vector-borne diseases have been take.
 
Collector has been asked to constitute a task force for this necessary work. Giving clear message to people involved in business of food adulteration and profiteering, Singh said, food adulteration is a heinous crime and it should be strictly prohibited. No such act of food adulteration would be tolerated at any cost by the State Government. In the meeting, an important decision of opening the Night Markets in different locations has been identified. As a pilot project, at Supermarket area, the Night Market would be opened. Issue related to water-logging in various parts of city in recent heavy downpour was discussed along with sewer line project, drainage system and works being carried out in city under ADB Project, Smart City Project were also discussed.
 
In this, water-logging losses cost many families. In DPC, decision has been taken to give compensation to 2,300 identified families who suffered losses due to heavy rains and water logging, he added. Besides this, suggestions were invited from members to make the drive Apki Sarkar Apke Dwar initiated by State Government to governance benefits in more effective manner. It was also decided to lend pace to the execution of decisions taken to resolve grievances and problems of people coming in special camps. On illegal mining of sand and minerals and use of hywa and dupers, he assured that, Collector and Superintendent of Police (SP) would jointly check the operations of illegal mining activities in district.
