Later, the work gained momentum with the efforts of present Vice-Chancellor Dr S P Kane. Had he not kicked the builder, the work would not have completed. With election code of conduct has come into effect, the building has to wait for its official inauguration till the passage of October. First it was to be ready by September 2018, then deadline was fixed for December, next date decided somewhere in March, 2019.

It worked and now building is now ready. Earlier, Bajaj had approved Rs 10 crore but during ground-breaking ceremony on September, 2015, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis requested him to contribute Rs 5 crore and he agreed. The building would have been ready earlier as was asked by Bajaj, had it been of G+2.
But considering the needs of university, the administration decided to construct one more floor making it to G+3. With this the time and money both increased. Out of this land, 33 acre land is given to university where the administrative building has been erected on 16,535.43 sq. Ft. Remaining land will be used for garden and other purposes. The new administrative building will house all the departments of RTMNU under one roof except the examination section, situated in the premises of Laxminarayan Institute of Technology (LIT).
Complete office from RTMNU Building situated opposite to Maharajbagh will be shifted to the new administrative building along with the departments in the campus including the offices of Finance and Accounts Officer, Development Department. Since Chairman of Bajaj Auto Limited Rahul Bajaj has donated Rs 15 crore for the construction of this Administrative building, it will be named as late Jamnalal Bajaj New Administrative Building of RTMNU.
The new building will follow all the compliance of the green building. There are three staircases and three lifts in the building.
