Entire city on Thursday paid rich tributes to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose to mark his 122nd birth anniversary. The tributes were paid to his unmatched love and patriotism for the country. Also famous as Netaji, Subhas Chandra Bose was a revolutionary freedom fighter who refused to bow down to the British army and rose to incredible powers and fame during those days. He was the first to address Bapu as father of the Nation. Bose also created the powerful term ‘Jai Hind’.

His birthday was celebrated by organising speech, slogan, essay writing competitions across and different programmes across the city. Nagpur City (District) Congress Sevadal Workers paid tributes to Subhash Chandra Bose at Satranjipura by garlanding his portrait. President of Sevadal, Pravin Agre presided over. Corporator Nitin Sathawane, Vice President, Ramgovind Khobragade, cultural co-ordinator, Dr Prakash Dhage, Chintaman Tidke, Gopal Khadode, Gajanan Ingole, Dr Chandranath Bhagwatkar and others were also present. MSEDCL Regional Director (acting) Dilip Ghugal garlanded the portrait of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at the office premises.

National Railway Mazdoor Union A blood donation camp was organised by the main branch of NRMU at Central Railway Institute, Ajani. Chief Medical Superintendent of Central Nagpur Division Dr Hedau; NRMU Executive President, Habib Khan; Divisonal Secretary, S K Jha; President, Devashish Bhattacharya; Treasurer, Narendra Dhanphule and Dr Ravi Wankhede of Jeevan Jyoti Blood Bank were also present. 84 donors donated blood on this occasion. Rashtriya Azad Hind Sena Noted poet Suryabhan Shende recited a song on the life of Netaji Bose at the function organised by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Foundation at H B colony Kalamna road.

People’s Rural Devpt Foundation The programme was held at Dawalameti, Mowade Nagar. Santosh Rewatkar and Lata Somkuwar were the guests. Ramesh Gedam presided over. Kamyab Foundation A Public awareness campaign to respect national flag has bee started at the premises of Department of Mass Communication.
The poster with a message ‘Respect National Flag’ was released at the hands of Dr Moiz Haq, Head of the Department of Mass Communication.
