For Nagpurians, the much awaited start of commercial operations on Aqua Line of Nagpur Metro is slated for Tuesday. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Hardeep Singh Puri would flag off the train to inaugurate the route of 11 kms between Lokmanya Nagar to Sitabuldi interchange. The inauguration function is arranged by Maha Metro at Subhash Nagar Metro station at 10 am. While Chief Minister is going to join through video link, Gadkari and Puri along with host of Maharashtra Ministers including Eknath Shinde, Anil Deshmukh, Dr Nitin Raut, and Sunil Kedar, would be present in city.
 
Mayor Sandip Joshi, Dr Vikas Mahatme and Krupal Tumane, both Members of Parliament (Ramtek) and Devendra Fadnavis, Leader of Opposition (Maharashtra Legislative Assembly) will also be present. Of the 25 kms total route six stations are ready namely Lokmanya Nagar, Bansi Nagar, Vasudev Nagar, Rachana Ring Road, Subhash Nagar, Ambazari Lake View, LAD Square, Shankar Nagar, Institute of Engineers and Jhansi Rani Square. On the inaugural day, passenger services will start at 2 pm and continue till 8 pm. Subsequently, commuters can avail of regular metro train services from 8 am to 8 pm every day, with a service every half an hour.
