Senior officers extended appeal towards residents to maintain peace in the area and co-operate the police in maintenance of law and order arrangements. The incident took place when Tiranga Yatra was taken out on the occasion of 71st Republic Day. The rally was passing through Raddi Chowki area when members of other community pelted stones. Participants of Tiranga Yatra expressed their agitation and tried to change the route of rally and entering the area where people of a community were staging demonstration against CAA and NRC.

Talking with media, District Magistrate and Collector Bharat Yadav said that permission of Tiranga Yatra was given for specified route but the rally was tried to be diverted towards another route.
