“Don’t be afraid of darkness in life. Believe in self. Have courage and patience, you will get Sunrise in your life.” This message was given by Anand Kumar, an educator and a mathematician best known for his Super 30 programme. Anand Kumar was addressing as the chief guest of the programme to distribute Ramabai Ranade Smruti Shikshan Prabodhan Puraskar organised by Sevasadan Education Society on Thursday at Amrut Bhavan. Atul Goel, noted businessman and Founder Chairman of Goel Ganga Group presided over. MLC Nago Ganar, Sevasadan President, Kanchan Gadkari; Secretary, Indubala Mukewar; Narayan Samarth, Vasanti Bhagwat also shared dais.
 
Anand Kumar appealed teachers and parents to have faith in their children. He said, “Each child has potential. He has different abilities, attributes and urge to think differently. Parents and teachers are required to identify the potentials of their children. Instead of discouraging the children, they should encourage them to find their own path to excel in life.” Stating that life is continuous process of searching own potential, Anand Kumar added, “Education is a foundation of knowledge. Inculcating hope and dream to excel in life in children is the main job of a teacher. A child who excels in life through proper nurturing and care by its teacher could face all challenges in life and help the nation to succeed.”
 
Atul Goel appreciated the gesture of Sevasadan Sanstha for recognising the true workers in society. Earlier, Ramabai Ranade Smruti Shikshan Prabodhan Puraskar consisting of cash prize of Rs 51,000, shawl, scroll of honour and memento was given at the hands of Anand Kumar to Narayan Samarth, founder of Shri Mangal Bahuuddeshiya Education, Technical Education and Training Institute, Saoner for his service to deaf and dumb children. Replying to his felicitation Narayan Samarth attributed the award to children and school teachers in the institution.
 
He also highlighted the 25 years journey of his institution since its inception. Sevasadan Sanstha president Kanchan Gadkari made the introductory remarks. Vasanti Bhagwat, Working President of Award Committee read out the scroll of honour. Kanchan Gadkari also felicitated Pranav Kumar (brother of Anand Kumar); Anup Khandelwal,Umar Farooque Javhar and Hiren Kotak from Karnawati. Ashutosh Adoni conducted the proceedings of the programme. Amar Kulkarni recited sharda stavan and individual song. Vice Presidents, Bapu Bhagwat, Samay Bansod, Award Committee Secretary, Bhagwat Bhange and other executive members, teachers and students were present in large numbers.
