SHIVA Iyer seems to be unstoppable. Continuing from where he left in the last edition, the 18-year-old annexed another blitz title to take his tally to four in the Nagpur District Chess Association organised Online Blitz Chess Competition.
The tournament was organised through lichess.org platform. Participating among 37 players, Shiva, a B.Com 1st year student of Dhanwate National College, garnered eight points to emerge clear winner. His earlier titles came in fourth, 10th and 13th editions. On his way to his fourth crown, Shiva defeated SK Laha, Akshay Patil, Arush Chitre, Jay Sawalakhe, Aditya Bodkhe, Suhan Deshpande, Prerak Darvekar and Shubham Lakudkar.
His only loss came in the last and ninth round against Priyanshu Patil who finished second with seven points (38.5 tiebreak). Aditya Bodke finished third with seven points with a tiebreak score 35.5. This tournament was conducted under the supervision of IA Deepak Chavan and FA Umesh Panbude.
