With the score of 680 marks and All India Rank (AIR) 684, Prathamesh Dhawale became the probable city third topper in NEET 2020 examination on Friday. Giving the credit of his success to his parents, Prathamesh said, he was confident of notching a good score. Though optimistic, he never had expected to be among the city toppers in the medical entrance exam. Son of Professor Kanchan Dhawale and Civil Engineer Kishor Dhawale, who is working in Maharashtra Jivan Pradhikaran (MJP), Prathamesh, also said, it was his parents who motivated him to aspire to become a doctor.
 
“My father taught me Physics, my mother cleared my doubts in Chemistry and my elder sister, who a student of MBBS Final Year, helped me in Biology during my two-year long preparation time,” revealed Prathamesh while talking to ‘The Hitavada’ on phone.
 
Also acknowledging his teachers for the success, Prathamesh wants to specialise either in Cardiology or Neurology. Prathamesh, who studied about 15 hours daily, advised his juniors to study hard and follow NCERT books for the preparation because most of the questions are based on the same book. Prathamesh completed his schooling from Bhavan’s BP Vidya Mandir, Civil Lines, and scored 97.6 per cent in Class 10. In Class 12, he scored 98.31 per cent and saw himself standing fourth topper in the State. A badminton player, Prathamesh represented his school in many tournaments. He also participated in debate and quiz competitions at school-level.
