Justice Aniruddha Bose, Judge of Supreme Court of India advised newly-admitted students to Symbiosis Law School, “Books are arms and ammunition for lawyers. One should work hard to achieve success. The budding lawyers should create a mark in this field.” Justice Bose was speaking during inauguration of a week-long orientation programme organised by Symbiosis Law School for the new batch of BA.LLB/ BBA-LLB. It will conclude on October 3.
 
Dr Sukhvinder Singh Dari, Director of Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur, in his welcome address highlighted the rich legacy of Symbiosis International University which has entered its golden jubilee year of committed service to the cause of education. The week-long orientation programme has witnessed the presence of Justice C M Roy, Judge, Andhra Pradesh High Court, as chief guest along with Prof (Dr) Nishtha Jaswal, Vice-Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla as guest of honour.
 
Justice C M Roy reinstated the nobility, glory and responsibility of the legal profession. Further in his address, Justice Roy brought forth the comparison between conventional education system with the present system that puts more burden on the newly-inducted students to reach the pinnacle in their chosen path of their career. Prof (Dr) Nishtha Jaswal in her impeccable style addressed the students with fine blend of traditional and contemporary knowledge highlighting the significance of values and ethics in the legal profession.She congratulated the students for being part of Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur. Prof (Dr) Shashikala Gurpur, Dean, Faculty of Law and Director, Symbiosis Law School, Pune, addressed the students. In her address she traced the genesis and the glorious journey of the law schools of Symbiosis International Deemed University. She also highlighted various aspects and best practices which made Symbiosis Law Schools stand apart and carve a distinct niche in the field of legal education and research. Dr Shilpa Sharma conducted the proceedings. The valedictory session will be graced by Justice DVSS Somayajulu, Judge, Andhra Pradesh High Court, in the presence of Adv Sampath Bulusu, General Manager, Legal and Corporate, Shell Hazira and Port.
