Chief Minister Baghel condoles demise of Madhav Singh Dhruv
 
 
Former Minister and senior Congress Tribal leader Madhav Singh Dhruv breathed his last on Thursday while undergoing treatment at a city hospital in Raipur. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has condoled the death of Madhav Singh Dhruv. Madhav Singh Dhruv (67), was a four-time MLA from Dhamtari’s Sihawa seat. He was the first elected MLA on Janata Party ticket in year 1977.
 
Later, he joined Congress. He was also the Panchayat and Water Resources Minister in erstwhile Madhya Pradesh Government and later, Tribal Development Minister in the Cabinet of the then CM Late Ajit Jogi in Chhattisgarh Government. Dhruv remained instrumental in the development of Sihawa region, including Sondhur dam. Dhruv was not well for the last few days and after his condition deteriorated further, he was rushed to Raipur on October 21.
 
He was kept in a ventilator under medical supervision. He breathed his last on Thursday morning. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has expressed deep sorrow on the sad demise of former Minister Madhav Singh Dhruv. The Chief Minister while extending his condolence to his family members, prayed to the Almighty for the peace of the departed soul. Political leaders from both Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party have also condoled the death of Madhav Singh Dhruv.
