Ramdeobaba Engineering College stands 3rd best in State, first in Vidarbha n VNIT ranks 14th best in the country
Wardha’s Bajaj Science College, and Chandrapur’s Sardar Patel Mahavidyalaya also find place in the list of best colleges in India
As per the survey report released by a national magazine, Nagpur’s Government Dental College and Hospital stood fourth among the best dental colleges in country. Every year Outlook magazine conducts survey of the professional colleges on the bas0is of certain parameters. Releasing the result of the survey, it has placed Nagpur’s GDCH fourth in the list of the best colleges in India. Outlook-ICare rankings 2020 survey of best professional colleges in India was carried out for the professional courses’ institutes. Outlook conducts the survey for annual rankings of India’s top professional colleges to help students make an informed choice.
This year, the magazine has come out with a list of top 18 dental colleges in India which includes country’s six Government and 12 private institutions. The parameters for considerations are academic and research excellence, industry interface and placement, infrastructure and facilities, governance and admissions and diversity and outreach. GDCH Dean, Dr Mangesh Phadnaik has credited the success to the faculty, students and staff of the institute. The alumni of GDCH, Nagpur have congratulated the alma mater which had celebrated its golden jubilee in 2017-2018. Similarly, Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management (RCOEM) that always ranked top in all surveys became the only college to figure in the list of top 110 private engineering colleges of the country. As per the survey report, RCOEM stood third best in State, first in Vidarbha and 28th in the country.
The State’s two other institutes to find place in the list of the best are College of Engineering, Pune, and Army Institute of Technology, Pune. Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) that is progressing constantly, ranked 14th in the list of 30 top Government engineering institutes. Bajaj Science College, Wardha, and Sardar Patel, Mahavidyalaya of Chandrapur, too, figured in the list of top 100 Science colleges in the country. Bajaj College stood at 76th, while Sardar Patel secured 85th rank. Sardar Patel Mahavidyalaya of Chandrapur runs several courses including Commerce, Arts, Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), also figured in the list of top 120 institutions of Arts, top 120 colleges running BCA course, top 150 colleges running Commerce stream. The College secured 60th rank in Arts, 80th in BCA, 118th in Commerce.
RTM Nagpur University 4th best varsity in State According to the rankings released by Outlook magazine, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) stands fourth among top universities in Maharashtra. This is for the first time that RTMNU figured in any such survey. RTMNU secured 57 rank in the country among 70 universities. The new body in university under the leadership of Dr Subhash Chaudhary, Vice Chancellor has made all the difference. There is one more thing that is to be celebrated as another Nagpurian Dr Pramod Yeole-led Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU), Aurangabad secured second spot in State as per the survey. The survey was conducted on the basis of academic and research excellence, industry interface and placement, infrastructure and facilities, governance and admissions and diversity and outreach.
