Dr Anil Kakodkar while expressing his views on the webex platform recently said that ‘Cillage’ is a broader concept of several elements of which one element is to create technology awareness among the grassroots level people including farmers. He also said that Agrovision has been working towards this goal for quite long. The event was organised by Agrovision Foundation wherein Kakodkar was the keynote speaker.
Dr Kakodkar remembered his visit to Agrovision a few years back and appreciated its work. He further added that, “in sustainable development locally routed education is very important along with technology and familiarity and ability to innovate locally. Cillage is all about that.”
Dr C D Mayee Chairman, Agrovision Advisory Committee shared his experience with Dr Kakodkar and said that rural development will occur only when farmers will prosper.
At the outset, Ravi Boratkar, President of Agrovision Foundation, introduced Dr Kakodkar and said that under the guidance of Chief Patron of Agrovision and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Agrovision is engaged in various activities to educate, encourage and empower farming community particularly in Vidarbha and Central India on various aspects of farming. Since lock down Agrovision has been organising webinars not only for farmers but also for other stakeholders who provide opportunities of additional income to farmers.
