During this period, JNAU witnessed various remarkable achievements including appreciation at national level with winning ‘Sardar Patel ICAR Excellent Agriculture University Award 2018’ and also gained position from 39th rank to 9th amongst 71 State Agriculture Universities in the country
Dr Pradeep Kumar Bisen, Vice Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru Agriculture University (JNAU) completed three years in office on Monday. During this period, JNAU witnessed various remarkable achievements including appreciation at national level with winning ‘Sardar Patel ICAR Excellent Agriculture University Award 2018’ and also gained position from 39th rank to 9th amongst 71 State Agriculture Universities in the country. Now the target is rank 5.
In infrastructure development new colleges were opened including Agriculture College, Khurai, Sagar, Agriculture Horticulture College, Rehli, Sagar, Chhindwara, Post Harvest Institute at Jabalpur, Sugarcane Research Institute, Bohani, Organic Farming Research Centre in Mandla, Krishi Vigyan Kendra Tamia, Seed Distribution Centre, Gyanvani Kendra and hi-tech press unit also came in existence in his term. While other advances are being carried out in research with various projects including 47.37 crore worth approved during the term.
Along with this team JNAU has worked on implementation of various Government priority programmes like development of entrepreneurship amongst agriculture graduates, farmers families and women farmers by providing them right training, guidance, entrepreneurs skills and helped in entreprize development.
