Chhattisgarh Cabinet on Saturday bid a touching farewell to Chief Secretary R P Mandal, who will be retiring on November 30. During the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel at his official residence, a touching farewell was given to Mandal. With no signs of his getting extension as yet, the Cabinet on Saturday bid him touching farewell.
The State Government has already approved the appointment of the new Chief Secretary, but will be declared on November 30, 2020 as State Government will be waiting till the last date, if the Centre approves the incumbent Chief Secretary’s extension. At the farewell ceremony, the CM felicitated him with a bouquet and prayed for his prosperous and healthy future. The Members of Cabinet also extended their best wishes and wished him a prosperous future. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said under the able guidance of Chief Secretary R P Mandal, State touched a new height of progress.
While facing the challenge of prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic, the Chief Secretary gave significant contribution to the drive which helped in controlling the COVID-19 pandemic in a better way in comparison to other states.
