Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell) has released the Maharashtra NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test) UG (Under Graduate) 2020 counselling second selection list on its official website. Students who have applied for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) Round 2 counselling can visit the official website of Maharashtra NEET UG 2020 counselling to check the selection list.

Meanwhile, there is a lot of confusion about Status Retention Form and State Cell is trying to remove the same. In a letter written to Principal or Dean of Medical colleges in State, CET Cell Commissioner states, colleges should constitute a 3-members committee headed by Dean or Principal. It will be a pre-admission committee whose details would be furnished with State CET Cell. The letter further states, the students if take admission in a college don’t want admission to other college in next round then such students need to fill up retention form, the details of which would be registered in College Feedback register. If it is not registered in College Feedback Module then it will be the responsibility of college in case students face some problem.

Admission Regulating Authority (ARA) and State CET Cell would take penalised action against those colleges which fail to register details of status retention form. If a student wants to participate in other rounds, then he should not fill status retention form. Such students though take admission to one college, at the same time willing to get eligible for the next rounds. The CET Cell has prepared a computer system through which the details of students participated in the process of filling status retention form, those not participated, those cancelled the admissions is being stored.

All the candidates who are shortlisted or selected for admission to Maharashtra NEET 2020 under State Quota will have their names mentioned on the merit list that will be released by 8 pm on Thursday evening. Shortlisted candidates need to fill status retention form to the selection college during the second round for MBBS/ BDS courses.
