Jabalpur police, in its continuous operation against organised crime along with the help of district administration and Jabalpur Municipal Corporation, demolished another illegal construction of land mafia amounting to Rs. 50 lakh and vacated the 1,000-acre Government land valued at around 1 crore at Beroharbagh in Belbagh, on Sunday. The Government land was illegally possessed by Rajesh Sonkar, a resident of (40), son of Shyamlal Sonkark resident of near Forest Office in Beoharbagh.
 
It may be noted that Rajesh Sonkar is a listed criminal and involved in 30 cases under the Narcotics Act. Taking prompt action on the information, a combined team of sistrict administration, police and Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) led by senior police and administrative officers reached the spot and razed the illegal construction to evacuate the Government land. Anti-encroachment team razed the illegal constructions of four shops amounting to Rs. 50 lakhs freed the Government land amounting to Rs. 1 crore.
 
On the occasion, Additional SP, Amit Kumar (IPS), CSP, Omti, RD Bharadwaj, DSP, Sachin Dhurve, Tehsildar, Swati Surya, SHO, Omti, SPS Baghel, SHO, Kotwali, Anil Gupta, SHO, Madan Mahal, Neeraj Verma, SHO, Civil Line, Dheeeraj Kumar Raj and police team were present.
