It has given the leadership of one such hub to Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT). All the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) will form a cluster in that regard with VNIT to act as nodal agency. VNIT will coordinate with MSME and other NITs. Every NIT is expected to come up with four innovations. These innovations either will have relation with research or small scale industries. VNIT is coordinating with Government of India to find some solution so that the fund could be deposited. In placement section, last year 140 top companies had visited VNIT campus. This year despite pandemic, 100 companies visited and 86% of the students were selected. The highest package is Rs 39 lakh. But according to experts its vastness will increase.

VNIT is progressing under the leadership of Dr P M Padole, its Director. Both late Vishram Jamdar, the Chairman of Board of Governors at VNIT and Dr Padole had jointly worked on the plans which are now bearing fruits.

‘Fitness Fiesta’, VNIT’s Good Samaritan act During pandemic, like all other institutes, the VNIT also was closed, due to which the shopkeepers inside the institute premises suffered heavy losses. With a thought to help them financially, VNIT has appealed its alumni to give Rs 500 each to the institute. This appeal evoked a huge response. This money collected out of the alumni’s donation will be distributed among those shopkeepers. As a gesture of donation, every alumnus will take part in running activity at their respective places on Sunday. VNIT has given it the name ‘Fitness Fiesta.’
