People in Bhopal will witness further dip in mercury within 48 hours. The Weather Department has predicted that cold days and night will remain in city by December 31. Weather Department said that night temperature is likely to dip from Monday by 1-2 degrees. On Sunday, Bhopal recorded minimum temperature as 10.8 degrees Celsius and maximum as 28.7 degrees Celsius. Indore recorded minimum and maximum temperature as 12.5 and 27.8 degrees Celsius.
Jabalpur recorded minimum and maximum temperature as 09.0 and 24.7 degrees Celsius, while Gwalior witnessed minimum and maximum temperature as 06.8 and 25.4 degrees Celsius. Lowest temperature across the State was recorded in Umaria at 4 degrees Celsius. All 22 stations of Madhya Pradesh recorded minimum temperature from 4 to 10 degrees Celsius.
Weather Department has forecast cold wave in Umaria and Seoni. Weather Department has forecast that the State will be witnessing extreme cold conditions from December 27 onwards while dry weather conditions will be witnessed till December end. Cold wave will prevail in next 24 hours at several places in the State. Weather Department said that climate conditions will be changing in Madhya Pradesh in next two days due to cold waves from northern part of India. Though winter has set in a bit late this year but temperature has dropped drastically since past 10 days.
