Incomplete construction of bridge over nullah on the main road of Civic Centre, Marhataal in front of Press Complex, Prabhu Vandana Talkies causing a large amount of trouble to people. The road remains busy for the whole day due to incomplete construction mostly during the day time traffic congestion and also filling of dust and mud causing clouds of dust. It may be mentioned that prior to the rainy season promising drainage of rain water from the Civic Centre area that experiencing water-logging even with light rains, the Municipal Corporation has given contract to construct three chambers, connecting drain and bridge over the drain.

 

For this old construction was demolished and before the work could be initiated, rains commenced and in between, a temporary arrangement was made in place of making a permanent construction the dig of drain was filled with two pipes for water passing and filled with gravel and hard gravel dust.

 

The point at which the contract has left the construction site open causes pollution as well as narrowed the road. Local shop-keepers, public and customers coming to the shops at Civic Centre have registered complaints many a times to the authorities but remain unheard. The Municipal authorities responsible should monitor the ongoing delay in construction and ensure early completion so that trouble causing incomplete construction at the prime commercial centre of the city could be cleared.
