Shortest broad gauge route from north to south India to start from Dec 25

The shortest broad gauge railway route connecting north India with south India would be started from December 25, on the occasion of birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee. It may be mentioned that former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee had materialised the dream of broad gauge train on Jabalpur-Gondia route. Now, the Jabalpur-Gondia railway track is going to be inaugurated on the occasion of his birth anniversary. With demand of the passenger trains on this route, journey to Raipur, Durg and Nagpur would be easier.
 
Safety Commissioner of Railways, A K Rai said that the permission to start the train on this railway track has already been received. After completion of broad gauge track laying on the Nainpur-Balaghat route, the passenger train would be run till Gondia. This railway route from Jabalpur to Nainpur to Gondia to Ballarshah would be shortest route to southern India from north India. The electricity run trains would be run on this broad gauge route. Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal is likely to give green signal to the train. The goods trains are already being run on this railway track. The demand to start the broad gauge railway line was being raised since long. The commercial point of view also this railway track would prove to be important for Railways.
