As per the instructions of Ministry of Human Resource and Development and School Education Department, Rajya Shiksha Kendra has reminded the education officials to ensure updating the activities of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ in Google Sheet and send it by March 20. Earlier, it was asked to share the language, culture and traditions of Madhya Pradesh, Manipur and Nagaland through the conduct of various activities and quiz competitions among the students.
The activities conducted by the schools under the campaign will help in establishing a sustained and structured cultural connect between the denizens of different regions of the country. The update of these activities district wise was asked to be presented in Google sheet but till date the districts have not provided the same. Thus, now it has been reiterated again to update the activities along with photographs and paper cutting on the Google Sheet and making a ZIP folder which has to be sent by March 20, Friday. District education officers were asked to ensure participation of the students in various activities under ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’. The Kendra has asked district education officials to ensure participation of maximum number of students from each district in the activities under ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat.’
The activities are being performed till June 2020. To facilitate greater participation of students, various activities were organised under ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’ programme in all schools during the year. The main objective is to celebrate the unity in diversity of our nation, to maintain and strengthen the fabric of emotional bonds between people of our country, to promote the spirit of national integration through a deep and structured engagement between all Indian states and union territories through a year-long planned engagement between states, to showcase the rich heritage and culture, customs and traditions of either state for enabling people to understand and appreciate diversity thus fostering a sense of common identity and to create an environment which promotes learning between states by sharing best practices and experiences. The annual report/magazine of the school should also contain a section on EBSB. The schools are also required to maintain a report of activities conducted under ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat.’
