Dhanush Gun sent to Balasore for proof-firing

The first Dhanush Gun manufactured in the Gun Carriage Factory (GCF), Jabalpur, on Tuesday, left for PXE Balasore for Proof Firing. It may be mentioned that recently after all clearances from the Ministry of Defence, the Gun Carriage Factory has got clearance on production order of 114 guns. Soon after the clearance of order, the Gun Carriage Factory begun production, all material procurement actions, setting up inspections and testing procedures along with the DGQA.
After going through all processes of inspection by the SQAE (A), CQA (L), CQA (W), etc has been moved to PXE Balasore for Proof Firing. Shortly, GCF is planning to send six guns for Proof Firing. On the occasion, chief guest was R Jauhari, Ex Sr General Manager, Gun Carriage Factory, Rajesh Panday, OIC, Brigadier Jayant Kar, WDET, Adkar AQAE were present.
