Along with the new ToT agreement, target of modifying 28 Sharang gun system proved a big achievement for VFJ to start a new segment
Extension of Transfer of Technology (ToT) agreement for next five years brought a sigh of relief amongst officers and employees of Vehicle Factory Jabalpur (VFJ). Ashok Leyland and Tata Automobile have extended ToT for assembling of defence vehicles at VFJ.
It may be noted that following the expiring of previous ToT agreement in September 2019 created uncertainty of workload in VFJ. Besides this, another major blown for the employees was separation of core and non-core group of factories. Providing workload in VFJ was a challenging task for the factory administration and avoiding unrest amongst employees.Fresh ToT agreement for next five years is a big relief for VFJ administration and employees to available adequate workload till year2025.
Along with the new ToT agreement, target of modifying 28 Sharang gun system proved a big achievement for VFJ to start a new segment. According to the fresh ToT and indent, Vehicle Factory Jabalpur has annual production target for around 2,000 Stallion, around 750 LPTA, around 380 Water Bowser, 294 Modified Mine Protected Vehicles. Now the factory administration is working on war footings to ensure timely materials procurement for uninterrupted production works and achieving the annual production target.
