The District Collector Ravindra Thakre and the Chairman and Managing Director of MOIL Mukund Chaudhari inaugurated the food distribution programme organised by the Patrakar Club of Nagpur in association with the Manganese Ore (India) Limited (MOIL) at Tilak Patrakar Bhavan, Panchsheel Square, Dhantoli. This is to help the poor and needy labourers and workers who are facing hardship due to unprecedented lockdown in wake of COVID-19 pandemic.
Around 300 such poor and needy people were given cooked food packets at the hands of the guests, while maintaining the social distancing norms. The food distribution programme, which started on April 16, will continue during the entire lockdown period. Noted philanthropist and industrialist Kunjbihari Agrawal also contributed for this social cause.
