Bhopal cops are now using drones to keep monitor the movement of people in the town during the lockdown. To keep an eye especially on densely populated slum areas in the state capital police have started to vigil using ‘drone’ cameras and would take action against those loitering in these areas. Though the lockdown has strictly been implemented in the town, people especially youths are freely moving in some areas despite the district administration’s repeated appeal to confine to their houses to contain the spread of coronavirus.
To find out the localities where people are moving by violating lockdown norms, cops have deployed drones. After finding areas, police teams are rushing to the spot and dispersing the people. The drones having night vision can fly 40 minutes continuously at a time The monitoring was started from Barela village of Koh-e-Fiza area and Shahjahanabad area from Saturday night. Videos would be captured of these areas and would later check to identify people roaming without any emergency work.
