A 23-year-old youth, quarantined in the isolation room of the Zilla Parishad school in Gondburanda in Maregaon tehsil committed suicide. Deceased Ramu Vitthal Atram used to work in a factory in Velu in Pune district. He along with his two other friends Hanuman Atram and Suresh Atram returned to Yavatmal in the bus service provided by the administration on May 10. But as they could not find any vehicle to take them till Maregaon, they made their journey on foot.
 
They were checked and were kept in the isolation room of the Zilla Parishad school in Gondburanda in Maregaon tehsil. They were getting food from their home, but no one from their families came to meet them. On Wednesday, May 13, police were informed that Ramu Atram had run away from the centre without informing anybody. A search was launched for him.
 
The search ended on Saturday when the gurkha of the village spotted his body hanging from the tree near the village lake. Ramu leaves behind his mother and two brothers. He was the sole earning member of his family.
