The Blue and Yellow Macaw (Ara ararauna), an exotic bird that was rescued from Jaripatka and brought to Transit Treatment Centre, Seminary Hills, was restored to its original owner Akash Dhade on Monday. Akash reached the centre and showed bill of Rs 1.25 lakh for purchase of the bird at Mumbai and other necessary documents to the concerned forest officers there.

The bird was listening everything Akash was saying in the centre. The Macaw had troubled the employees as well as animals in the city as it shrieked. A baby monkey was not leaving the doctor out of fear. The exotic bird was therefore kept in the operation theatre.
