Senior officers in City police also thinking of using the jawans for flag march before Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations
A company of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was deployed in the city on Saturday to fight the battle against novel coronavirus. The armed-force jawans have been deployed in the city at the gates of containment zones.
A police officials informed that a company of 82 jawans of CRPF was received for deployment. A section of eight jawans each deployed at Sadar and Ambazari area while a platoon of 17 jawans would guard containment zones in Lakadganj and Tehsil Police Station area including Mominpura and Satranjipura. A platoon of 17 jawans deployed at Kashi Nagar and Parvati Nagar containment zone in Ajni police station area while a section of eight jawans given to Yashodhara Nagar police.
The official said that the jawans were deployed with protective gears. “Along with staff of concerned police station, the CRPF personnel are also implementing lockdown strictly in containment zones,” he said. Senior officers in City police also having a thought of using the jawans for flag march before Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations. It may be mentioned that a total of eight police personnel from Tehsil police station were found infected with coronavirus after which 36 policemen from Tehsil police station were sent for quarantine at government institution. Over 1,400 coronavirus cases were reported in the Maharashtra police and Mumbai police is worst hit with 500 cases.
