Over 200 Congress workers from Sanchi and Raisen district joined the BJP
More than 200 Congress workers from Sanchi Assembly constituency and Raisen district joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in presence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, BJP State President V D Sharma, ex-Minister Rampal Singh etc in State capital on Saturday. All these are supporters of ex-Minister Prabhuram Chaudhary were holding different positions in Congress.
BJP said that those who joined party included Congress Committee members, district president, former district president, block president, Sarpanch etc. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Jyotiraditya Scindia and his supporting MLAs including Prabhuram Chaudhary presented exemplary sacrifice to join the BJP. He cautioned party workers and those who joined BJP that Congress will spread lies during Assembly by elections and hence all has to remain alert in this regard.
He urged the newly joined party members to work hard for victory in Sanchi Assembly constituency. BJP State President V D Sharma said BJP is a worker based party and whether it is he or CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, all are seen in the role of a worker.
