RAIPUR,

Dr Anjali Singh, a resident of Sector-1 Bhilai Township, has garnered laurel for her uncanny skills of interacting with the animals. Animals respond to the call of Dr Anjali and come running to her. Sometimes, we witness incidents which enter straight to the heart and move us emotionally. Dr Anjali can evoke love and affinity in animals be it a dog or a cow for her. One can see how naturally she bonds with the stray animals.

She doesn’t just serve food to cattle and dogs, but also arrange treatment for animals sick or injured in accidents. She has formed a voluntary organisation by the name of Animal Saviours, Bhilai and connecting likeminded people to the organisation. A final year students of Dentistry, Dr Anjali told that it pained her deeply watching innocent animals getting killed in road accidents. She understands that animals can’t speak out their pain to anyone, but they too have the right to life.

Deeply disturbed by the animals dying on roads in accidents and for other reasons, Dr Anjali vowed to stop the unnecessary deaths of mute animals. Initially, she alone used to feed animals wandering around her home, but then many likeminded people gradually connected to the noble cause and her movement gathered pace.

Dr Anjali is also an animal whisper who can talk to them and command them naturally, people often called her whenever their pets such as dogs don’t listen to the commands or stop having food. Dr Anjali feels bliss in talking to animals in the language of love and she feels elated when the animals understand and obey her. Dr Anjali has made a touching appeal to citizens, saying that they too should give food and water to animals and behave cordially with them.
