Apart from this, as per the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), the city-based institution also secured 113th rank among all engineering institutions across India including IITs, NITs and reputed Universities of the country. This feat is remarkable for a private institute like RCOEM as it competed with Government aided colleges and universities as well as deemed universities of repute of the country.
NIRF 2020 unfolded many more achievements of RCOEM. In Maharashtra it ranked 9th among all Engineering colleges (including IITs and NITs), ahead of institutes like Sadar Patel Institute of Technology (125th rank), NIT – Puducherry (130th rank), MIT-Pune (138th rank), GHRS and YCCE – Nagpur (139th rank), Narsee Monjee – Mumbai (151th rank), VIT-Pune (165th rank), KJ Somaiya – Mumbai (171th rank) and other such institutions. This has pushed RCOEM up to the 1st rank in Maharashtra and 11th rank in India among private unaided Engineering colleges.
It is noteworthy that the college has entered the league of best 200 engineering and nonengineering colleges / universities of India which is in the rank band of 151-200 of overall category which includes universities and colleges of all disciplines such as Management, Pharmacy, Medical, Law, Dental, Architecture and Engineering. On June 11, 2020 the MHRD released the NIRF ranking 2020 through a webcast. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ announced the NIRF Indian Rankings for all Indian colleges and Universities on the same day. This year NIRF saw participation of around 3,800 institutions which was 20 per cent more than the previous year which is an indication of a steady rise in the number of participating institutes in NIRF ranking since its first edition in 2015.
It is also an indication of the credibility of the NIRF ranking which was initiated with the objective of centralizing the ranking of education institutions of India rather than depending on sporadic surveys conducted by multiple magazines and private research bodies. Over the years NIRF rankings have helped parents and students in seeking admission in institutions that follow high standards of education. It has also helped students of institutions like RCOEM to get coveted placements. RCOEM’s ranking is a reflection of the consistent efforts put in by the team of the institution and its core values of ethical practices and pursuing excellence. Blessings of Lord Shri Ramdeobaba has always helped the team follow a dedicated path and helped add this feather to the cap.
