Governor, CM greet people on International Yoga Day

Governor Anusuiya Uikey and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel greeted people of Chhattisgarh on the occasion of the sixth International Yoga Day on Sunday. In her message, the Governor said that Yoga in India is being practiced since ancient era and now it is adopted by entire world. One can lead a healthy lifestyle by practicing different forms of yoga on regular basis, she said.
 
Yoga helps maintain good health and increase concentration level. It also helps strengthen our immunity which is vital in today’s context, she said. Yoga practice is the best way to stay healthy and prevent yourself from diseases, said the Governor. The world community has recognised the Yoga the ancient culture of India. Yoga is born in India but it has now reached every household of the world. At a time when the world is struggling with Covid-19 pandemic, popularity of yoga has increased manifold because of its positive outcomes. Yoga can help human being maintain a balanced life, she said.
 
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that Yoga purifies the body, mind and soul. Yoga is necessary to live a life without stress and stay healthy and strong. Yoga also teaches discipline. This year, yoga is being celebrated on the theme ‘Yog at home and Yog with family’. The Chief Minister said that Yog help increase body resistance power and strengthen the immunity. The Chief Minister appealed people to make yoga a habit in their daily life.
